Mashiro leaves the Sakura home and is leaving everything behind. As the Sakura-sÅ residents notice she is missing they go on a frantic search for Mashiro. While on search, Nanami has her chance to tell Sorata her promised message ("I love you"), but instead goes a different route. As Sorata finds Mashiro at the station, he pours his heart out telling her it's not the same if she leaves.
